On 01/05/06, Chief Schreiner along with representatives from Pierce began training the Driver/Operators with the new Engine 510.
New additions include an updated foam system and traction control.
Engine 510, when placed in service, will be the first due engine from
the "Midtown" station. Engine 512 will be moving to the College
Township station. While serving in the borough, Engine 512 in three
years of service had nearly 16,000 miles of use, responding to the
majority of all calls for service in the Centre Region.
