FULLY INVOLVED GARAGE IN PATTON TWP. |

| On 01/06/05 Box 543 was alerted for a reported garage on fire on the Lower Julian Pike in Patton Twp.

| Fire Police Captain Wirtz (570) was on scene initially with a fully
involved garage fire. Eng. 514 from the Patton Twp. station was the
first apparatus on scene and initially blitzed the fire with it's deck
gun, knocking the bulk of the burning roof down. A drop site for a
tanker shuttle needed to be established and crews remained on scene for
nearly two hours extinguishing the fire and performing extensive
overhaul. Safety Officer Klein (540) had command of the incident. The
Alphas were assisted by units from the Logan and Undine Fire Companies
(Co's 1 and 2)in Bellefonte, Port Matilda Fire Co (Co 15) and Boalsburg
Fire Co.(Co 3) transferred apparatus to the "Midtown" station until
units cleared the scene. The fire is still under investigation. |
