At approximately 09:00 hrs. Company 5 was dispatched to Route 322 at the Park Ave. exit for a vehicle accident with injuries
41759 41760

 Reports stated that there was one vehicle in the east bound lane and one in the west bound lane.  3rd Assistant Chief Schreiner responded and while he was enroute communications advised of multiple accidents in that area.
    2nd Assistant Chief Brown arrived on scene first and discovered multiple accidents.  At least 2 patients were transported to the hospital.  Chief Brown and Chief Schreiner each handled an accident.  Engines 512 and 514 both provided scene protection for those working on the scene.  Rescue 518 staged at Park Ave. and the on ramp to Rt. 322.
    At the time that this all occured there were near white out conditions that lasted only a few minutes
