At around 07:00 hrs Alpha Fire Company was dispatched for a second alarm building fire in downtown Bellefonte.

Truck 517 responded and upon arrival set-up and began master stream operations.
At approximately 08:15 hrs. an engine from the Alpha's was requested,
Engine 511 responded. When 511 arrived on scene they dropped 5" supply
line to draft out of the creek to supply ground monitors, unfortunately
due to a mechanical problem Engine 511 was unable to establish a draft
and was reassigned to staging in the municipal parking lot. The crew
then went and assisted the crew from Truck 517.
The engine operated on scene until approximately
18:00 hrs. and the truck remained on scene until approximately 21:00
hrs.
Operating on the scene were about 150 firefighters from both Centre and Clinton counties.
The Bush House, at 315 High Street, a historic landmark is destroyed.
