ALPHA'S ASSIST PORT MATILDA WITH MVA |

| At 17:10 hrs. the Alpha's were dispatched to assist Port Matilda with a
tractor trailer accident in the 6500 Blk. of S. Eagle Valley Rd
|

| Upon arrival units found a tractor trailer rolled over with one patient
trapped. Rescue 1518 arrived on scene and quickly went to work
stabilizing the vehicle and gaining patient access. EMS requested that
a helicopter be dispatched to the scene. Engine 514 arrived on scene
and went to work assisting with stabilization and patient extrication.
Engine 1510 set up the landing zone about half a mile down the road in
a field. The patient was heavily entangled in the wreckage, however,
was still alert. The patient was flown to Altoona Hospital via
Geisinger Life Flight helicopter. The cause of the accident is under
investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police. The extent of the
patient's injuries is currently unknown. |
