| At 00:56 hrs. Box 544 at the intersection of N. Atherton St. and Curve
Hill Rd. in Patton Township was alerted to a motor vehicle accident
with rollover and ejection.

| Rescue Captain Kauffman (596) arrived on scene first, along with Patton
Township Police, and advised of a one vehicle crash with ejection with
2 patients, one of which was deceased. Engine 514 and Rescue 518
arrived on scene next and crews assisted EMS with the second patient
who was in critical condition. Engine 512 was on scene to assist with
a possible landing zone, however medical personnel on scene determined
that the helicopter should divert from the scene to the hospital.
Centre LifeLink EMS transported the patient to the Mount Nittany
Medical Center. Engine 514 and fire police remained on scene to
provide traffic control and lighting for the investigation. The cause
of the accident has not yet been determined and is still under
investigation by the Patton Township Police. Rt. 322 was closed for
most of the night while the investigation continued. |
