Just after 5AM a second call in our district was received for an investigation inside at Pinchot Hall on the University Park Campus.

Due to all Company 5 personel working the 2 Alarm fire in the Borough Engines 1510 (Port Matilda), 212 (Bellefonte), and Truck 1216 (Philipsburg) were dispatched to cover the call.  University Police had requested the fire department because there was an odor smoke and multiple alarms on the 7, 8, and 9th floors and they could not find the source.  2nd Assistant Chief J. Brown responded to the scene and assumed command.  Prior to the arrival of fire units University PD found the cause to be newspapers that had been set on fire in an elevator.  Thanks to Port, Philipsburg, and Bellefonte for helping us out!!

Units on Scene:  Engines 1510, 212, Truck 1216
In the Command:  2nd Assistant Chief J. Brown (502)
