This morning members of the Alpha fire company along with University
Health EMS (Company 20) introduced Penn State EMT students to patient
care and vehicle accident scene operations.
These students had the opportunity to partake in vehicle accident
scenarios where they were challenged with the task of patient access
and patient care. The day was concluded with a full extrication,
complete with a dash-roll demonstration to give the students an idea of
how much work and effort goes into extricating patients that are
entrapped in vehicles. Job well done to all parties evolved.
