AFA Turned Structure Fire PDF Print E-mail

Early this morning Company 5 was dispatched to 861 Oakridge Ave. for an automatic fire alarm in a dwelling.  As Assistant Chief Triebold was responding he was advised that the alarm company was now receiving multiple alarms in the house, at this time the box was upgraded to a possible structure fire. AFA1
State College Police arrived on scene first and advised of a heavy smoke condition with the smell of burnt food and reported all occupants out of the house.  Chief Triebold arrived on scene and held the response to 2 engines and the truck.  Engine 510 arrived and set up ventilation and performed a secondary search of the structure, with nothing found.  Engine 514 and Truck 517 helped with ventilation.
