At 10:29, Alphas were dispatched to a vehicle fire at the 800 block of Water Street. Further reports placed the fire just inside the Huntington County line on Pine Grove Mountain. Alphas continued response to aid the neighboring station, Stone Creek.

Captain 595 (Kuchmay) arrived on the scene and reported a fully involved vehicle fire. Engine 510 responded, finding a thick black column of smoke that was clearly visible from West College Avenue, near Science Park Road.

After climbing Pine Grove Mountain, Engine 510 rolled up to the scene, and crews deployed the bumper trash line to extinguish the fire.
