Shortly before noon today the Alpha's were dispatched to Science Park Rd. in front of Raytheon for a gas leak.  As Captain Kuchmay (595) was responding the 911 center advised that it was a 2" main that had been struck. 100_1198
Due to the size of the gas cloud that was being given off, it was determined that the surrounding buildings should be evacuated.  Raytheon security personnel began the evacuation process as the crew of Engine 510 began taking readings with gas meter downwind of the leak.  Columbia Gas arrived on scene and terminated the leak, once this was completed crews entered the structures to take readings and make sure no gas had built up within them.  All readings were negative and Raytheon employees were allowed back to work. 100_1195
