The contractor will not be working on Science Park Road this week-end, August 5th and 6th.

Work will resume Monday, August 6th and continue all week.

Crews will be working on Old Gatesburg Road and in the closed section of Science Park Road throughout the week.

Some small operations on Science Park Road between Circleville Road and OldGatesburg Road may be performed that require single lane closures and short delays should be expected.

Storm sewer and widening operations will be taking place on Old GatesburgRoad and delays of 10-15 minutes can be expected.

The excavation between Raytheon and Old Gatesburg Road is in completed. Fine grading of the stone subbase is expected to be complete by August 11th.Weather permitting paving in the closed section is expected to start August 14thand continue through the week. Tentatively this section of Science Park Road is scheduled to be reopened August 17th, however the Board of Supervisors willdiscuss extending the road closure duration at the request of the contractor at theAugust 7th board meeting.

Motorists that do not reside on Science Park Road or are not doing business on Science Park Road are prohibited from this roadway. ALL THROUGH TRAFFICMUST FOLLOW THE SIGNED DETOUR. VIOLATORS MAY RECEIVECITATIONS. MOTORISTS ARE REMINDED TO TURN ON THEIRHEADLIGHTS IN THE WORK ZONE.
