| At 1333 hours on Sunday, the Alpha Fire Company was dispatched to
assist at a motorcycle accident with 2 patients along I 99 in College
Township.

Rescue 518, Engine 514 and mutual aid Engine 814 from Pleasant Gap
responded. Captain 593 was first on scene. Chief 500 arrived shortly
after and took I 99 command. 518 was assigned to assist with patient
care and 514 was assigned to set up a landing zone in the north bound
lanes of I 99. E.M.S. transported one patient to Mount Nittany Medical
Center and Geisingers Life Flight flew the other patient to a regional
trauma center. 814 assisted with traffic control in the south bound I
99 lanes at the LZ. Rescue crews operated on scene for 1 hour and Alpha
Fire police had all lanes closed and rerouted I 99 for about 2 hours
while the scene was cleared.
