This evening the Phillipsburg Fire Department was dispatched for a working structure fire at the 100 Block of Front St in the Borough
29548 29549

Upon arrival of Chief 57-02,the fire was quickly upgraded to a second alarm and eventually a third alarm with T-516 requested to the scene. The fire consisted of several multi-story buildings of brick, wood construction.

Upon initial arrival, the truck was utilized as an RIT piece. Upon establishing a RIT Team, the crew of 516 was put to work searching for a missing firefighter. Fortunately the firefighter was quickly accounted for and 516 was then utilized to work the fire using master streams and overhaul on the exterior.

Later in the fire E/R-514 was transferred to station 12 during the incident. Units remained on the scene for a long period of time.

Approximately 41 units, five alarms in total, were dispatched to the scene or on transfer assignments during the incident from four different counties.
