As the remains of Hurricane Katrina passed through the centre region Company 5 was dispatched to an Automatic Alarm at the Ramada Inn at 0300 hours.

Upon arrival units found a drain pipe for the roof had broken lose due to the massive amounts of rainfall and was flooding ares of the interior 1st and 2nd divisions. Crews from E513 conducted a search and evactuation of the rooms in the affected areas. Crews then assisted maintence personel in controlling the water flow on the roof, moving furniture and clean up.

500 (Clouser)< 502 (Brown), E513 and E514 operated on scene for over an hour
