At 10:33 hrs. this morning the company was alerted to 434 W. College Ave. for a gas leak outside.  Upon the arrival of units it was discovered that a contractor had struck a natural gas line to the rear of the structure.  The size of the line was unable to be determined.  Columbia Gas arrived on scene and terminated the leak.  Crews evacuated the surrounding buildings as a precaution.  The box was placed available at 10:55 hrs.
